T-bone steak description
The meat’s T-shaped bone gives rise to the fabled T-Bone Steak (pronounced Tie-Boun). It divides the flatter roast beef from the smaller fillet in the well-known cut from the back. At your next BBQ, you’ll make an unforgettable impression with this steak. The only steak that can compete with the T-bone is the even more potent porterhouse steak, which is likewise on the T-bone but contains a much higher percentage of fillet. The t-bone from Irish pastured oxen is incredibly soft, light in the bite, and tastes extremely different from that of female animals. It is also slightly leaner.
